Personal branding is the intentional practice of defining and communicating what you stand for, who you serve, and why you're the authority in your space. In the AI age, it matters more than ever because trust is the new currency. People buy from people they know, like, and trust. Your brand is what people say about you when you're not in the room — make sure it's intentional.

Start with clarity: Who do you help? What result do you deliver? What's your unique perspective? Then show up consistently on 1–2 platforms with valuable content. Share your journey, your expertise, and your opinions. Personal branding isn't about being famous — it's about being known by the right people for the right thing.
Go where your audience already is. LinkedIn for B2B professionals and thought leadership. YouTube for long-form education and trust-building. Instagram for visual brands and lifestyle. TikTok for reach and discovery. Pick ONE primary platform, master it, then expand. Being everywhere weakly is worse than being somewhere powerfully.
Expect 6–12 months of consistent effort before you see meaningful traction. The first 90 days feel like shouting into the void — that's normal. Most people quit in month 3. Those who push through to month 12 with consistent, valuable content start seeing compounding returns. Personal branding is a marathon, not a sprint.
You stand out by being more specific, more authentic, and more consistent than everyone else. Niche down — the riches are in the niches. Share your real story, including failures. Have a clear point of view that some people disagree with. Bland is the enemy of brand. The WYP approach: find your signal, amplify it, and never apologize for being you.
