The Alex Hormozi Offer Framework: How to Make What You Sell Irresistible
Alex Hormozi built a portfolio of companies worth over $100 million by mastering one thing: the art of making offers so good that people feel stupid saying no. In his book $100M Offers, he lays out a framework that has transformed how I think about selling — and how I teach my clients to structure their programs, packages, and services.
The Grand Slam Offer
Hormozi's central concept is the Grand Slam Offer — an offer so valuable, so specific, and so risk-free that the prospect's only rational response is to say yes. Most coaches and consultants make the mistake of selling their time or their process. Nobody buys features. They buy outcomes. They buy the transformation on the other side of the process.
The Value Equation
Hormozi's Value Equation has four variables: Dream Outcome (the specific result the prospect wants most), Perceived Likelihood of Achievement (how confident they are they will get the result), Time to Result (how quickly they will see results), and Effort and Sacrifice Required (how much they have to do to get there).
The formula: Value = (Dream Outcome × Perceived Likelihood) ÷ (Time to Result × Effort and Sacrifice). To increase value, increase the numerator and decrease the denominator.
The Problem Stack
Identify every problem your prospect faces on the way to their desired outcome and solve each one proactively within your offer. Most offers solve the primary problem. Grand Slam Offers solve the primary problem and every obstacle that would prevent the prospect from getting there.
The Risk Reversal
A strong guarantee does three things: it signals confidence in your offer, it reduces the prospect's perceived risk to near zero, and it forces you to deliver results because you have skin in the game. The best guarantees are outcome-based: "If you do not achieve X result within Y timeframe, I will work with you for free until you do — or refund your investment in full."
Applying This to Your Coaching Business
Step 1: Define the Dream Outcome with precision. Not "I help people build better businesses." But "I help coaches stuck under $5,000/month break through to $20,000/month in 90 days without burning out."
Step 2: Stack the value. List every problem your client will face and add a solution for each one.
Step 3: Compress the timeline. Find ways to deliver results faster.
Step 4: Reverse the risk. Add a guarantee that makes the decision feel safe.
